Former Nepal PM Jhalanath Khanal’s Wife Dies after Protesters Set Their House on Fire

Former Nepal Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal's wife, Rabi Laxmi Chitrakar, died from critical burn injuries after protesters allegedly forced her inside their Dallu residence before setting it ablaze. She was rushed to Kirtipur Burn Hospital but couldn't survive. This tragic incident occurred during violent Gen-Z led protests that have claimed 22 lives and injured 300+. Demonstrators torched major landmarks including Singh Durbar administrative complex, presidential residence Sheetal Niwas, and homes of current PM KP Sharma Oli, President Ram Chandra Paudel, and former PMs. Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba was also attacked.
