Poland said on Wednesday that Russian drones entered its airspace during strikes on Ukraine. The Polish military confirmed it shot down several drones and launched operations to secure the area. Four airports, including Warsaw Chopin and Rzeszów-Jasionka, were closed due to “unplanned military activity.” Poland’s armed forces said allied aircraft and defence systems were on the highest alert. A US FAA notice confirmed the closures for security reasons. Ukraine earlier warned that drones had crossed into NATO-member Poland, posing a threat to Zamosc. Polish President Karol Nawrocki said Vladimir Putin cannot be trusted and may target other countries. (PC: X)
