The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds across 49 areas in the UK. The alert will remain from Sunday evening until Monday evening. Gusts of 50-60 mph are expected, with 70-80 mph possible in exposed areas. Officials warned of “danger to life” from flying debris, power cuts, and travel disruption. Roads and bridges could close, and coastal towns may see large waves. Residents have been urged to secure bins, garden furniture, and sheds. The Met Office advised people to stay indoors and avoid travel unless necessary. Emergency kits with torches and power packs are recommended. (PC: Mirror)
