A SpiceJet flight from Kandla to Mumbai lost a tyre during take-off on Friday, prompting a full emergency call. The Bombardier DHC8-400 aircraft, operating as flight SG-2906, lifted off at 2:39 pm when the control tower saw an object fall on the runway. It was later confirmed to be a wheel with metal rings. Despite the issue, the aircraft continued to Mumbai and landed safely. All passengers disembarked without incident, a SpiceJet spokesperson said. The airline confirmed that the plane taxied to the terminal on its own power after the smooth landing. No injuries were reported.
