NATO has launched a new mission to strengthen its eastern flank after more than a dozen Russian drones entered Poland. Some drones were shot down, while others crashed into fields and a house in eastern Poland. Warsaw called the attack deliberate, describing it as the most serious incident since Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Denmark will send two F-16 jets and a warship, France three Rafales, and Germany four Eurofighters. The US and European allies backed Poland at the UN, vowing to defend Nato territory. Russia denied targeting Poland, claiming the drones could not reach that distance. (PC: BBC)
