British actor Owen Cooper made history at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. At just 15, he won best supporting actor for Netflix’s Adolescence, becoming the youngest male Emmy winner ever. The drama, about teenagers and social media, swept the awards, also winning best limited series, directing, and writing. Co-stars Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty also took home acting prizes. Cooper called his win “surreal” and thanked his family and team. He broke the record set in 1973 by Scott Jacoby. Roxana Zal remains the youngest overall acting winner, crowned at age 14 in 1984.
