Heavy rain lashed Hyderabad on Sunday night, flooding major roads and causing long traffic jams. Siddipet’s Narayanraopet recorded 245.5 mm of rainfall, while several parts of Hyderabad saw over 120 mm. Waterlogging left vehicles stranded as police and GHMC teams worked to drain water. Three people went missing in separate incidents. A man named Sunny was swept away in Parsigutta after a drain wall collapsed. Two others, Arjun and Rama, were washed away in Nampally. Disaster Response Force teams are searching drains and manholes. Residents criticised poor drainage and fear worse conditions with more rain expected. (PC: India Today)
