The Pakistan cricket team has lodged a formal protest against India after players refused to shake hands during their Asia Cup group match on September 14. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) complained to the Asian Cricket Council, saying Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav set the tone by avoiding a handshake with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha at the toss. Reports said match referee Andy Pycroft also told Agha not to shake hands, which angered Pakistan. In protest, Agha skipped the post-match ceremony. PCB said India ignored the “spirit of cricket,” which requires respect and sportsmanship between teams. (PC: India Today)
