A speeding BMW killed Navjot Singh, Deputy Secretary in the Finance Ministry, near Delhi Cantonment on Sunday night. His wife, Sandeep Kaur, survived with multiple fractures. The BMW, driven by a woman from Gurugram, hit their motorcycle and overturned. Bystander Mohammad Gulfam Hasan said he rushed the couple to a hospital 19 km away, claiming he “did what felt right.” However, Kaur said she pleaded to be taken to the nearest hospital.
