Two people went missing after a cloudburst struck Dehradun early Tuesday, triggered by heavy rain. The disaster damaged houses, destroyed roads, and washed away cars and shops. Rescue teams from NDRF and SDRF rushed to the spot, shifting affected families to safer areas. District officials led relief operations and ordered all schools in Dehradun to remain shut. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said he was in constant touch with the administration. In nearby Rishikesh, rising river water trapped three people, later rescued by SDRF. Heavy rain and landslides continue to disrupt life across many parts of Uttarakhand this monsoon. (PC: X)
