Over 40 Muslim nations met in Doha after Israel’s strike in Qatar. Pakistan pushed for an “Arab-Islamic task force,” reviving the idea of an “Islamic Nato.” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar claimed Muslims needed a united force against Israel. Turkey backed the call, calling Israeli strikes “greedy” and “bloodthirsty.” For India, the plan is worrying. Pakistan may use such an alliance to raise Kashmir again. Turkey’s support of Islamabad adds to New Delhi’s unease. India’s strong defence and energy ties with Israel also place it at odds with the summit’s anti-Israel stance. (PC: India Today)
