Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of shielding “vote chors” and weakening democracy. At a press meet, Gandhi said he has “black and white” proof of voter deletions and additions using software. He cited Karnataka’s Aland constituency, where 6,018 votes were nearly deleted in 2023, and Maharashtra’s Rajura, where voters were allegedly added fraudulently. Gandhi claimed the Election Commission ignored repeated CID requests for data on IP addresses and OTP trails. Setting a one-week deadline, he demanded answers, warning that systematic “vote chori” is happening across states and cannot be ignored. (PC: PTI)
