Yasin Malik, jailed chief of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, has made new claims in an affidavit to the Delhi High Court. He said two Shankaracharyas visited his Srinagar home “umpteen times” and even held a press conference with him. He also claimed a five-hour “marathon” meeting with RSS leaders in Delhi in 2011, arranged by a think tank. Malik alleged that former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and officials engaged him during the 2000 Ramzan ceasefire. He further claimed former PM Manmohan Singh thanked him after he met Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan in 2006. None have responded. (PC: NDTV)
