In the early hours of September 22, 2025, Pakistani JF-17 fighter jets bombed the Matre Dara village in Tirah Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dropping eight Chinese-made LS-6 precision guided bombs. The strike, around 2 a.m., reportedly targeted hideouts of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). All confirmed dead—at least 30 individuals—were civilians, including women and children. Many more are injured; rescue teams are searching through the rubble for survivors.
