The Jaffar Express derailed on Monday after a blast hit its track in Mastung’s Dasht area of Balochistan. At least three compartments overturned, leaving passengers trapped inside. Rescue teams rushed to the spot and began pulling out women and children from the damaged coaches. Authorities said the injured were being shifted to nearby hospitals, but details on casualties are not yet clear. The incident happened just hours after security forces clearing the same tracks were attacked with explosives. Earlier in March, militants had attacked the Jaffar Express in Balochistan, killing 6 soldiers and holding 450 passengers hostage. (PC: India Today)
