Super Typhoon Ragasa Kills 14 In Taiwan, Hundreds Missing As China And Hong Kong Brace For Storm

At least 14 people were killed in Taiwan after Super Typhoon Ragasa struck the island. All deaths were reported in Hualien county, where 129 people are missing after floods swept Guangfu town. A resident described the water as a “tsunami” that destroyed homes and cars. Another village, Dama, with 1,000 residents, was fully flooded. In the Philippines, 4 people died and nearly 700,000 were affected. Ragasa is now heading toward Hong Kong and China’s Guangdong province. Authorities warned of winds above 120 mph. More than 370,000 people in China have been evacuated as the storm approaches. (PC: Sky News)
