The World Health Organization (WHO) has rejected US President Donald Trump’s claim that paracetamol use during pregnancy may cause autism. WHO said there is no scientific evidence linking the painkiller to the disorder. “Extensive research over the past decade shows no consistent association,” the agency stated. Trump had also linked vaccines to autism and suggested vitamin B9 (leucovorin) as a treatment, which experts strongly rejected. Health groups and the Tylenol maker, Kenvue, warned that such claims could mislead parents and pose health risks. WHO advised pregnant women to follow doctors’ guidance on medicines. (PC: Al Jazeera)
