Indian-Origin Motel Manager Shot Dead In Pittsburgh, US After Asking Gunman “Are You Alright”

An Indian-origin motel manager, Rakesh Ehagaban, 51, was shot dead in Pittsburgh, USA, on Friday. He was killed at point-blank range after stepping out to check a disturbance outside his motel. Police said the shooter, 37-year-old Stanley Eugene West, opened fire after an argument with a woman at the motel. When Ehagaban approached and asked, “Are you alright, bud?”, West shot him in the head. The gunman fled in a U-Haul van. The murder follows several violent attacks on Indians in the US in recent weeks, including killings in Texas and Dallas motels. (PC: Times Now)
