The Federation of Indian Pilots has written to Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu, asking to ground all Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The letter, accessed by Hindustan Times, said the planes should be checked for faults in their electrical systems. It mentioned two recent incidents — AI-117, where the Ram Air Turbine was deployed in Birmingham on October 4, and AI-154, which was diverted to Dubai on October 9 due to multiple faults. The pilots also asked for a special audit of Air India by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
