Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 continues its strong run at the box office. The film has now crossed ₹650 crore worldwide, beating SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning and Salman Khan’s Sultan. On its 12th day, the Kannada period drama earned ₹13.5 crore in India, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹451.9 crore. With a worldwide total close to ₹675 crore, it is now the 17th highest-grossing Indian film ever. Directed and written by Rishab Shetty, the movie stars Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah. It is a prequel to the 2022 hit Kantara, set a thousand years earlier. (PC: PTI)
