Ukrainian rescuers saved 48 children from a burning kindergarten in Kharkiv after it was hit by a Russian drone. Major-General Oleksandr Volobuev was seen carrying a young girl to safety, while officer Fedir Uhnenko rescued a boy from the smoke-filled building. One adult was killed and nine others were injured in the strike. Ukraine said the attack on the Honey Academy kindergarten was deliberate, as there were no military targets nearby. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the strike, saying there is “no justification for attacking a kindergarten.” All rescued children were later declared safe. (PC: BBC)
