Israel said on Wednesday that it was still committed to the Gaza ceasefire, even after overnight airstrikes killed at least 104 people. The strikes followed an attack in which Palestinian militants reportedly killed an Israeli soldier. Israel called it a “clear violation” of the truce and said it would respond to any breach. Gaza officials reported civilian deaths in Bureij, Gaza City, and Khan Younis. The US-brokered ceasefire began on October 10 after two years of war.
