The Louvre Museum in Paris will soon be equipped with anti-ramming and anti-intrusion barriers around its perimeter, France’s Culture Minister Rachida Dati announced. The decision comes after the October 19 heist in which thieves used a truck lift to steal eight crown-jewel items worth about $102 million. Investigations revealed major security flaws, including outdated systems, poor perimeter protection, and underestimated theft risks. The new safety measures aim to modernize security and prevent future intrusions at the world’s most visited museum. (PC: NDTV)
