Ten people were injured, nine with life-threatening injuries, in a mass stabbing on a London-bound train Saturday evening. British Transport Police arrested two suspects after the attack on a train traveling from Doncaster to King's Cross Station, shortly after leaving Peterborough station at 7:30 PM local time. Eyewitnesses described seeing "blood everywhere," with a man wielding a large knife. Passengers hid in lavatories and stampeded trying to escape. One witness heard victims shouting "They have got a knife; I have been stabbed." Another initially thought it was a post-Halloween prank. Counterterrorism police are assisting the investigation. Prime Minister Keir Starmer called it an "appalling incident," thanking emergency services for their response.
