A rail worker is in life-threatening condition after trying to stop a knife attacker on a Doncaster to London King’s Cross train. The attack happened near Huntingdon, leaving 11 people injured. Police arrested a 32-year-old man from Peterborough on suspicion of attempted murder. Officers said his actions were not linked to terrorism. “The rail staff’s bravery undoubtedly saved lives,” said British Transport Police Deputy Chief Stuart Cundy. Train driver Andrew Johnson was also praised for guiding the train safely to a station.
