US President Donald Trump said Pakistan, along with Russia, China, and North Korea, continues to conduct secret nuclear tests while the US does not. Speaking to CBS, Trump argued it was “necessary and appropriate” for America to restart testing to maintain parity with rival powers. His remarks have sparked debate, as it is the first time a sitting US president accused Pakistan of active nuclear testing since its last tests in 1998. Pakistan has not yet responded.
