Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, the only survivor of the June 12 Air India crash that killed 261 people, has asked for long-term help to recover. The 40-year-old British citizen of Indian origin suffers from severe injuries and trauma. His family’s fishing business in Diu has collapsed, leaving them in financial trouble. Kumar’s lawyer said the £21,500 aid from Air India is not enough. The airline said it has offered more support and remains in touch with the family. The crash was caused by a fuel supply failure after take-off from Ahmedabad, according to an investigation report. (PC: India Today)
