Police arrested three men for raping a college student near Coimbatore airport. Two of the accused are brothers, and the third is their relative. The trio — Satish, Karthi, and Guna — robbed a two-wheeler and drank alcohol before attacking the woman and her friend in a parked car. They broke the car windows, injured the man, and dragged the woman away before assaulting her. Using CCTV footage, police tracked them to Vellakinaru. When the accused attacked the officers, police shot them in the legs. All three and an injured constable are now receiving treatment in a government hospital. (PC: HT)
