New York City’s new mayor Zohran Mamdani and Syrian-American artist Rama Duwaji first met on the dating app Hinge in 2021. What began as a simple match turned into a global love story. The couple got engaged in 2024 and held a nikah celebration in Dubai, where Duwaji spent much of her childhood. The rooftop event overlooked the Burj Khalifa and featured white floral décor.
