In south Mumbai, two commuters were killed and three others injured when they were struck by a fast local train near Sandhurst Road railway station on Thursday evening. The victims had alighted and were walking on the tracks after a stoppage triggered by a flash protest by railway employees at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) halted suburban services during peak hours. The disruption, reportedly over an FIR filed against two engineers after a June 9 mishap, left stranded passengers who then took to the tracks, leading to the tragedy. (PC: PTI)
