World Cup Star Richa Ghosh Appointed DSP by WB Government, Honoured with Banga Bhushan and ₹34 Lakh Reward

World Cup-winning cricketer Richa Ghosh has been appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police by the West Bengal government. At a grand ceremony in Eden Gardens, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee honoured her with the Banga Bhushan award, a gold chain, and the official appointment letter. The Cricket Association of Bengal also rewarded her with ₹34 lakh — ₹1 lakh for every run she scored in the World Cup final. The 22-year-old from Siliguri played a key role in India’s title win.
