Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that the board held a productive meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi on the sidelines of an International Cricket Council gathering in Dubai, effectively “breaking the ice” in the ongoing dispute over the 2025 Asia Cup trophy. The conflict began when India refused to accept the trophy from Naqvi—who also chairs the Asian Cricket Council—after winning the event. Both boards are now working on several options to resolve the issue amicably, with Saikia emphasizing that the matter does not require formation of a special committee by the ICC at this stage.
