New York City’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, is yet to decide if he will move from his small rented flat in Queens to the official mayor’s residence, Gracie Mansion. The 34-year-old, son of filmmaker Mira Nair, said he knows where he’ll work — City Hall — but not yet where he’ll live. Mamdani, the first Indian-origin, South Asian, and Muslim to lead New York, built his campaign around affordable living.
