A major terror plot was foiled near Delhi after Jammu and Kashmir Police and Intelligence Bureau recovered explosives from a rented house in Faridabad. Officials confirmed that the seized material was ammonium nitrate, not RDX as first reported. The search found 350 kg of explosives, an AK-47 rifle, 84 live cartridges, and IED-making items. The house was rented by Dr Muzammil Shakil, a teacher from Al Falah Medical College, linked to a terror module under investigation. Police said Shakil and another suspect, Dr Adil Ahmad Rather, had planned large-scale attacks in northern India. Further probe is underway. (PC: HT)
