Former NCB Mumbai Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede informed Delhi High Court that Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment defamed him through Netflix series 'Bastards of Bollywood', featuring a character resembling him. Appearing before Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav, Wankhede's counsel argued the show used satire as a shield for defamatory portrayal. Wankhede filed a defamation suit seeking injunction and scene removal, claiming Rs 2 crore damages from Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix. His counsel stated Wankhede and his family faced ridicule following the series release. The alleged mockery stems from Wankhede's 2021 arrest of Aryan Khan during a Mumbai drug raid; Khan was later cleared. The court viewed clips and adjourned proceedings until November 17.
