A devastating car blast near Delhi's Red Fort killed eight people on Monday evening, prompting deployment of NSG and NIA teams to the explosion site. The blast occurred around 6:55 PM in the crowded Chandni Chowk area, with such intensity that streetlights shattered and cars were flung 150 meters away. Fifteen people were brought to Lok Nayak Hospital; eight were declared dead on arrival, three remain critically injured. The explosion, suspected in an Eco van, damaged 5-6 vehicles and shattered glass across the area. Fifteen fire engines responded, controlling the blaze while police cordoned off the site. Mumbai implemented high alert measures. The incident coincided with 2,900 kg explosives recovered from Faridabad, foiling a Delhi attack conspiracy.
