Following the deadly Red Fort Metro Station blast killing 10 and injuring 24, Delhi was placed on high alert alongside multiple cities and states. Mumbai, Kolkata, Dehradun, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh intensified security measures. Preliminary reports suggest the explosion originated from a slow-moving vehicle near Gate No. 1. Delhi Police, NSG, and specialized squads cordoned off the Chandni Chowk area. CISF-secured installations including Delhi Metro stations, Red Fort, government buildings, and IGI Airport activated continuous monitoring. Haryana issued directives for enhanced vigilance at crowded places and historical sites. Uttar Pradesh deployed security forces statewide, tightening Delhi-Noida border checks. The blast coincided with authorities busting an interstate terror module, recovering 2,900 kg suspected ammonium nitrate intended for powerful IEDs targeting Delhi.
