At least six people have died after Super Typhoon Fung-wong hit the Philippines, just days after another storm killed over 200. The typhoon caused floods, landslides, and power cuts across provinces before weakening. More than 1.4 million people were evacuated before it made landfall in Aurora province with winds up to 185 km/h. Thousands of homes were damaged or destroyed. In Cabanatuan, residents struggled to save belongings as floodwaters rose. The Red Cross called the back-to-back disasters a warning of rising climate risks, urging urgent aid and recovery support for affected communities. (PC: BBC)
