Families of the eight victims of the Delhi Red Fort blast are struggling with unbearable loss. “He just went to work and never came back,” said Ruksana Begum, wife of e-rickshaw driver Jumman Khan. Another victim, Pankaj Saini, had called home minutes before the explosion. “We heard a loud noise, and his phone went dead,” his brother said. Relatives identified many bodies through tattoos or burnt belongings. “He was our only hope,” cried the mother of 24-year-old shop worker Dinesh Kumar.
