Multiple Indian airports were placed on high alert Wednesday after bomb threat emails targeted IndiGo and Air India Express flights. The threat, received at 3:30 PM, mentioned Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad airports. Authorities declared it "non-specific" lacking credible details, but activated security protocols. Delhi Airport Terminal 3 received a hoax bomb call, while an Air India Express Varanasi-Mumbai flight faced separate threats. All aircraft were thoroughly checked and passengers safely disembarked. The threats came two days after the Red Fort blast that killed 12 people, prompting nationwide security escalation. Authorities had already arrested eight people and seized 2,900 kg explosives linked to a "white-collar terror module" targeting Delhi landmarks. (PC: Business Today & NDTV)
