Two days after the Red Fort blast that killed nine, the family of accused Dr Shaheen Saeed says they are stunned by her arrest. Her father, brother, and ex-husband insist she never showed signs of extremist behaviour. Investigators allege she helped build the women’s wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed in India and worked with Dr Muzammil Ganaie, from whom 2,900 kg of explosives were seized in Faridabad. Her brother said the family hadn’t spoken to her in four years. Her ex-husband described her as kind and focused on family, saying, “I can’t believe these allegations.” (PC: NDTV)
