Dr Jafar Hayat, ex-husband of arrested terror suspect Dr Shaheen Sayeed, revealed their 2003 marriage ended in 2015 divorce after she persistently urged relocating to Europe, which he refused. Hayat, a Kanpur government hospital ophthalmologist, said Shaheen left in 2012 without explanation and never contacted their two sons thereafter. He noted she "spent significant time on her laptop" and maintained distance from relatives. Shaheen was arrested in Faridabad, charged with involvement in the Red Fort blast. Anti-terrorist squads identified her as a key conspirator associated with Jamaat-ul-Mominat, Jaish-e-Mohammed's women's wing. Authorities raided her father's Lucknow home and arrested her brother, Dr Parvez Ansari, seizing electronic devices during investigations.
