A catastrophic blast ripped through the Nowgam Police Station in Srinagar, killing nine and injuring around 29–32 people. The explosion occurred while forensic teams and police were extracting samples from over 360 kg of explosives seized earlier in a terror‑module case tied to Faridabad. CCTV footage from a nearby house shows the moment of detonation and its massive force, and debris—including body parts—was found up to 300 metres away. Authorities say it was an accidental blast, though investigations continue.
