A stone mine in Billi Markundi village, Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh, collapsed after a wall within the Krishna Mines quarry gave way, triggering a landslide. At least 15 labourers are feared trapped under the rubble, while authorities have confirmed one death. Rescue operations are underway with NDRF and SDRF teams deployed from Mirzapur. Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjeev Kumar Gond has ordered a probe, promising strict action against those responsible. (PC: PTI)
