ISRO Plans Chandrayaan-4 Launch in 2028, Seven Missions This Year as Spacecraft Output Set to Triple

ISRO chief V Narayanan said the space agency is entering one of its busiest periods, with seven more launches planned this financial year. These include PSLV and GSLV missions and a fully industry-built PSLV. He confirmed that Chandrayaan-4, a lunar sample-return mission, has been approved and will launch in 2028. ISRO is also working with Japan on the LUPEX mission to study water ice at the Moon’s South Pole. Narayanan said India will triple spacecraft production in three years and aims to place the first module of its space station in orbit by 2028. The Gaganyaan crewed mission remains set for 2027.
