Jan Suraaj Alleges ₹14,000 Crore World Bank Funds Diverted in Bihar Polls

Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party has claimed that the Nitish Kumar government diverted ₹14,000 crore obtained from a World Bank loan to fund election campaigns. According to party leaders, the money was used for welfare payouts under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, transferring ₹10,000 each to 1.25 crore women voters. Jan Suraaj alleges this was a strategy to “buy votes” and influence the 2025 assembly elections.
