The NIA has confirmed that the Red Fort blast on November 10 was a suicide attack carried out with a vehicle-borne IED. The bomber was Umar Un Nabi, a doctor from Pulwama who worked at Al Falah University in Faridabad. His aide, Amir Rashid Ali, has been arrested for helping buy the car used in the blast. Thirteen people died and over 30 were injured. The NIA has examined 73 witnesses and is working with police across several states. Four men earlier detained, including three doctors, were released after no link to the attack was found. (PC: X)
