The NDA has won a big victory in the Bihar election, securing 202 of 243 seats. With this result, Nitish Kumar is set to begin his 10th term as Chief Minister. He has already served more than 19 years in the role, making him one of India’s longest-serving leaders. Other long-serving Chief Ministers include Pawan Kumar Chamling of Sikkim and Naveen Patnaik of Odisha, each with over 24 years in office. Leaders like Jyoti Basu, Gegong Apang, Lalthanhawla, Virbhadra Singh, Manik Sarkar, Karunanidhi, and Parkash Singh Badal also feature on the list for their long tenures. (PC: ANI)
