Women voters played a key role in the NDA’s big win in Bihar, but the week also brought major turmoil inside Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family. After the RJD’s heavy defeat, Lalu’s daughter Rohini Acharya said she was insulted and forced to leave the family home. She said she was hurt by false charges and by the behaviour of people close to Tejashwi Yadav. Three of her sisters also left quietly the next day. Tej Pratap Yadav backed Rohini and attacked Tejashwi’s aides. The dispute has created serious trouble for the RJD at a time when the NDA is celebrating a strong women-led mandate. (PC: India Today)
