Police in Gujarat say hackers stole sensitive CCTV videos from a maternity hospital in a city in the state. Some clips showed pregnant women during exams. These videos were shared on YouTube with links to Telegram, where longer clips were sold. During the probe, police found a wider cybercrime network stealing footage from more than 50,000 cameras across India. Many hacked CCTVs had weak or default passwords. Eight people from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Uttarakhand have been arrested. Police say no patient has filed a complaint because many women fear their identities may be revealed.
